We were in the field and recorded what we are working on.
There are no old, natural oak forests in Hungary anymore. Due to intensive human use of the landscape, their area has significantly decreased, and the structural and species diversity of the remaining stands has been dramatically decreased.
The LIFE4OakForests project aims to change this: we increase the diversity of habitats and species with conservation forest management methods, monitor the effects of interventions, and develop an inter-sectoral dialogue in cooperation with project partners.
Join us in the oak forests!
