Monitor Protocol Meeting in Parco Vena del Gesso between MAR, MTA-ÖK and FENCON Ltd.

In the dates of 20th and 21st of June 2019 the team of Ente Gestione per i Parchi e Biodiversità-Romagna (MAR) joined by the Centre for Ecological Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA ÖK) with the presence of Mr József Fidlóczky of Fencon Ltd., had a meeting at Carnè visitors centre in Parco Vena del Gesso Romagnola. The aim of the meeting was to discuss about the three Monitoring Protocol modules and their implemetation therefore adjusting the protocol to the Italian Gypsum Vein Forests. Besides that we discussed the activities of other joint actions. The first day was dedicated to a field ecxursion in Riva di San Biagio, Rio Sgarba and Tossignano. The second day, in morning time, the meeting was taken in the hall meeting of Carnè visitor centre while in the afternoon a demonstration on the field of the baseline survey was done addressing the attention also to microhbitats. The day ended in a visit to an ancient chestnut in Campiuno (1500-1600 a. D ) in the Gypsum Vein Park, to observe many different kind of micro-habitats (cavities and nests of short-toed treecreeper).
The meeting gave a good and useful collaboration of all the parties.
